South Australia Police execute multiple cannabis raids over weekend

Sunday, the 17th of March, saw two raids conducted by the South Australian Police - resulting in a combined haul of 29 cannabis plants. In the early hours on Sunday morning at around 1am, police officers conducted the first raid at a property in Murray Bridge, a 1-hour drive east of Adelaide. 19 cannabis plants were located, 16 of which were grown hydroponically, along with around 400 grams of dried cannabis. A 50-year-old man was arrested in relation to the raid, and charged with trafficking a controlled drug and cultivating cannabis. He will appear in Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date. The second raid was executed at 2pm in Kingston SE, a 3-hour drive south of Adelaide. A 25-year-old male was arrested and 10 cannabis plants were also taken into custody. Charges against the man include cultivating a trafficable amount of cannabis. He will appear at a later date in Millicent Magistrates Court. There appears to be no link between the two raids.
