15.5kg of Cannabis Travelling Interstate via Post Seized

South Australian Police (SAPOL) are cracking down hard on cannabis in early 2020. On top of the 15.5kg seized here, another 100kg was seized at the start of April as well. It what must have been a tip off to police, the 15.kg was stopped in SA before it could reach its destination in NSW. A 52-year-old man from NSW was arrested in relation to the cannabis. And subsequently charged with a string of drug offences, including trafficking a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug. The cannabis itself seems to have been packaged with no regard to law enforcement. Simple paper packages secured with a bit of cellotape, and no indication of any further concealment.
