7 cannabis plant seizure hailed as major bust by 9 News
Queensland police have showcased their second haul of cannabis seizures this week, with 9 News claiming the 7 plant haul as a "major bust".
In the article published on 14 March 2019, Police find underground cannabis bunker in Cairns, 9 News has compared it to the recent $1.5 million seizure of cannabis on Minden streets.
The more recent operation in Cairns led to Queensland Police discovering a rather insignificant 7 cannabis plants, after a tip-off led them to the location.

Hopefully, once recreational cannabis becomes legalised, we'll see minor convictions like this speedily reversed.
It's the second major bust of its kind in Queensland this week.9 News and the Queensland Police seem to be quite eager to remind the public that no matter how much cannabis you have, even it's it almost certainly for your own personal use, you'll be treated the same as million dollar drug organisations. The 46-year-old man in Cairns even went so far as to build a secret passageway for his plants' home, leading us to believe he was betrayed by someone he knows.
