Speeding Car Uncovers $250,000 of Cannabis
A man will face court shortly after police seized 28kg of cannabis in the boot of his car after they caught him speeding.
The traffic incident occurred at around 10:50pm last night. A 34-year-old male was allegedly driving over the 100km/h speed limit which led to police pulling the vehicle over.
Suspicions were raised and a search was conducted of the car after speaking with the driver.
During the search of the boot, three vacuum sealed bags filled with cannabis were found and subsequently seized.
28.47kg of cannabis was seized with an estimated street value of $250,000.
