Medibis

Medibis is a 100% Australian owned company that cultivates, produces, manufacturers, exports and researches medical cannabis. The company was founded by Angus Chapel and Andrew Calvert. 

Medibis is one of many cannabis companies with roots in Toowoomba. The company is currently planning to build a $180 million facility that it expects to employ over 500 people and produce 80 - 100 tonnes of medical cannabis each year. 

They have taken a unique approach to funding, using the crowdfunding platform Birchal to partially fund the development of its medical cannabis farm and the company's expansion. In total, over 900 investors gave $1.8 million in the crowdfunding campaign. 

Medibis is also working on bringing a range of highly-researched Israeli medical cannabis products to Australia, including Highfields T20, Lockyer C10, Daintree C20, Eumundi E10 and Maleny CBD100.
