Industrial Hemp Association NSW (IHANSW)

The NSW Industrial Hemp Association (IHANSW) is a non-profit organisation that supports NSW's industrial hemp industry. IHANSW aims to reinstate industrial hemp to its "proper place" as a versatile and environmentally-friendly material. 

IHANSW works with hemp farmers, manufacturers and retailers in NSW. The organisation represents the interests of the states hemp industry in politics, and in other government matters. IHANSW is also working to support the growth of the hemp industry in rural areas, which they believe will bring long term employment opportunities to rural communities. 

The organisation is currently working to spread awareness of the benefits of industrial hemp, including how industrial hemp can be used in food, medicine, textiles, building, and paper. The organisation is a firm advocate against genetically modifying hemp crops.
