Avecho Biotechnology (ASX:AVE) is a biotech company based out of Melbourne. The company develops and commercialises products for humans and animals, using a drug delivery system called ‘Tocopheryl Phosphate Mixture’ or ‘TPM’. Derived from Vitamin E, TPN increases the solubility and absorption of medicines that are taken orally. 

Avecho expanded into the field of medical cannabis with the launch of their oral cannabidiol (CBD) TPM product. Initial preclinical testing showed that CBD TPN is absorbed faster than just CBD. 

CBD TPM is currently being tested in Australia’s CA Clinics Observational study (CACOS), which is monitoring how patients respond to medical cannabis products. Previous tests have shown that CBD TPN is also very effective in animals. As well as CBD TPN, the company’s most popular products include:
